Welcome to the enchanting land of Ladakh! Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you’ll be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Spend the day relaxing and acclimatizing to the altitude, followed by a welcome tea or coffee.
Overnight stay in Leh.
After breakfast, start your day with visits to:
- Shey Palace – the former summer capital of Ladakh
- Stok Palace Museum – a cultural window into Ladakhi royalty
After lunch at the hotel, explore:
- Shanti Stupa – for panoramic views of Leh
- Sankar Gompa
- Leh Palace
End the day exploring Leh Market for handicrafts and local treasures.
Overnight stay in Leh.
Drive west from Leh, visiting key spots along the way:
- Kali Mata Temple at Spituk
- Gurudwara Pathar Sahib
- Magnetic Hill
- Sangam – the confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers
Continue towards Khaltse, leaving the main Kargil highway to follow the scenic Indus River. Drive through Achinathang and arrive at Beema Village. Check into your riverside camp at Beema Lastang.
Later, visit Dah and Hanu villages to meet the Brokskat-speaking Aryan tribes, known for their unique culture and appearance.
Overnight stay in camp at Beema.
After breakfast, drive back to Leh with stops at:
- Mulbekh Maitrey Buddha Statue
- Fotu La Pass – the highest point on the Srinagar-Leh highway
- Lamayuru Monastery – located in the surreal Moonland landscape
- Alchi Monastery – the oldest monastery built on flat terrain in Ladakh
Arrive back in Leh by evening.
Overnight stay in Leh.
Post breakfast, drive to the spectacular Pangong Lake via Changla Pass (17,590 ft). Spend the day exploring the turquoise waters of one of Asia’s largest saltwater lakes, famed for its ever-changing hues.
Later, check into:
- Tented camps at Spangmik, or
- A guesthouse in Tangtse (30 km away), based on your preference.
Overnight stay near Pangong Lake.
Wake early to witness the magical sunrise over Pangong Lake. After breakfast, drive back to Leh via Changla Pass, stopping to explore:
- Hemis Monastery – the largest monastery in Ladakh
- Thiksey Monastery – an architectural marvel perched on a hilltop
Arrive in Leh by evening.
