Itinerary

Day 01 :
Arrival in Amritsar – Transfer to Dharamshala (210 KM / 5 Hours)

Upon arrival at Amritsar Airport/Railway Station, meet our representative and proceed to Dharamshala – the serene hill town nestled in the lap of the Dhauladhar range.

Dharamshala is also the seat of the Tibetan Government in exile and a spiritual center with rich Buddhist heritage.

Evening Activities:

  • Explore the vibrant Kotwali Bazaar, known for miniature paintings, Kangra tribal jewelry, wooden carvings, and a million-year-old fossilized elephant tooth.
  • Enjoy Tibetan cuisine and the café culture of McLeod Ganj.

Day 02 :
Dharamshala Local Sightseeing

After breakfast, explore the scenic and spiritual attractions of Dharamshala.

Places to Visit:

  • Dal Lake – A serene lake surrounded by deodar trees.
  • HPCA Cricket Stadium – One of the most picturesque stadiums in the world.
  • Gyuto Monastery – A tranquil Buddhist monastery and a center of Tibetan Tantric studies.

Optional Activity:

  • Paragliding at Bir Billing (subject to weather conditions)

Day 03 :
Dharamshala – Dalhousie (120 Kms / Approx. 4 Hrs)

Post breakfast, check out and proceed to Dalhousie – a quaint colonial hill town known for its natural beauty and old-world charm.

Optional Visit:

  • Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary – Lush forests with deodar, oak, and pine trees. Spot Himalayan Black Bears, Pheasants, and more.

Timings: 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Entry Fee: ₹250 per person

Day 04 :
Dalhousie – Khajjiar Excursion

After breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of Dalhousie and Khajjiar – also known as Mini Switzerland of India.

Highlights:

  • Khajjiar: A scenic meadow surrounded by pine and deodar forests. Enjoy photography and horse riding (additional cost).
  • Dainkund Peak (Singing Hill): Stunning views of the Chenab, Ravi, and Beas rivers.
  • St. John's Church: The oldest church in Dalhousie with beautiful stained-glass windows.

Church Timings: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Day 05 :
Dalhousie – Amritsar (220 Kms / Approx. 5 Hrs)

After an early breakfast, check out and proceed to Amritsar – a city rich in history, culture, and spirituality.

Evening Visit:

  • Gobindgarh Fort: A 257-year-old symbol of Punjab’s valiant past. Experience its interactive museums and the light & sound show (after sunset).

Day 06 :
Amritsar Sightseeing & Wagah Border Ceremony

Start your day early with a soul-stirring visit to:

  • Golden Temple (Harmandir Sahib): Witness the spiritual serenity of the temple at sunrise. You can also participate in Langar Seva or have Langar Prasad.
  • Akal Takht: The highest temporal seat of Sikh authority within the Golden Temple complex.
  • Jallianwala Bagh: Visit the historic site that commemorates the tragic massacre of 1919.
  • Ramgarh Palace Museum: Once the summer residence of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, now showcasing his belongings and arms collection.

Afternoon:

  • Drive to Attari-Wagah Border (31 km) to witness the patriotic and ceremonial “Lowering of the Flags” border ceremony at sunset.

Evening at leisure.

Overnight stay: Amritsar

Day 07 :
Departure from Amritsar

After breakfast, check out from the hotel. Transfer to Amritsar Airport/Railway Station for your journey back home with unforgettable memories of Himachal & Amritsar.
