Upon arrival at Leh Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. The day is free for rest and acclimatization to the high altitude of Leh (3,500 meters above sea level).
Overnight stay: Leh
After an early breakfast, enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour:
- Shey Palace – Former summer residence of Ladakhi kings, featuring a 36-ft-high copper-gilded Buddha statue.
- Thiksey Monastery – A twelve-storey complex perched on a hill, offering panoramic views.
- Hemis Monastery – The wealthiest monastery in Ladakh, known for its annual festivals and spiritual significance.
Return to Leh by evening.
Meals & Overnight stay: Leh
After breakfast, visit:
- Stok Palace – Home to a fine private museum with one of the world’s best thangka collections.
- Leh Palace – A 16th-century, eight-storey structure resembling Lhasa’s Potala Palace.
- Shanti Stupa – A peaceful white-domed structure overlooking Leh.
Spend the afternoon exploring Leh’s winding streets and colorful markets.
Dinner & Overnight stay: Leh
After breakfast, drive to Khardongla Pass (5,600 meters), the highest motorable pass in the world, as recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records. Enjoy the spectacular views of snow-covered peaks.
Return to Leh by afternoon. The rest of the day is free for personal activities.

In the morning, drive west to Alchi Monastery, one of the oldest surviving monastic complexes in Ladakh, built by the translator Rinchen Zangpo around 1000 AD.
Alchi comprises several sacred temples, including:
- Rinchen Lhakhang at Lotsa Lhakhang
- Jamyang Lhakhang (Manjusri Temple)
- Sumtsag Lhakhang
The monastery is known for its distinct Indian-style artwork and ancient murals.
Overnight stay: Alchi or Leh (as per your itinerary)
In the morning, drive to Lamayuru, often called Moon Valley due to its unique, lunar-like landscapes. Visit Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest in Ladakh.
On your return journey, stop at Spituk Monastery just before Leh.
Check in at the hotel upon arrival in Leh.

Transfer to Leh Airport in time for your onward flight.
